Zwift Racing Score - Seed V3 Release [December 2024]

Looks like a different rider. HR significantly higher.

I can’t understand why they are so stuck on the 5 pens unless it’s somehow so baked into the game that adding more pens would somehow break it.

James from Zwift commented on this point on FB a few months back. It’s hard coded into the app at the moment and they need to make quite big coding changes to allow more pens. I believe their target date to implement the change was January - just hope they fully test the change before release although I’m not holding my breath as testing doesn’t seem to be high on their list of actions!

Why have payed testers when you can have a few hundred thousand who do it for free…

I’d love to see Zwift add ability to enable fenced neutral starts for the first couple km of a race.

So they get blown out the back after 3km …

Much bigger difference from standing start of 0km/h vs eg. 30km/h (or whatever fence speed you wish to use)

Herd Racing has just adjusted our herD Beginner Racing bands to accommodate V3 changes. 425 remains the highest allowable score.

Based on Zwift Event results, V3 eliminated the RS 11 glitch and bumped most of Pen E up 50-100 points, while Pens A and B bumped down, so the new banding would have been tighter for the same riders from our last three weekends.

As always, time will tell.

Getting blown out the back right out of the pen probably happens to some racers in their very first race. After that, they’re prepared.

What’s happened in each C race I’ve entered this year is a pack 10-20 riders who can hold ~4 w/kg put the hammer down up the first small incline and blow the race apart.

There were 2 sets of 5 - so in effect they set up 2 races. They don’t want to do that further as it’s administratively time consuming.
