Zwift Racing Score [October 2024]

Should be easy enough since they are there for a year on the power screen

Reach out to anyone over 900 score for a verification.

With this non elo system where everyone in the top 2/3rd of the ranking after a race goes up in points isnt it just a matter of time before every A racer goes above 900 ?

and why exclude cat 2,3,4 and 5 cheaters ?

I think the way it is playing out is as you get further from seed you stop making gains.

At A level it’s hard for anyone to dominate a meaningful race so 900 has been almost unattainable. The riders at 900+ have improbable seed scores.

Verification there and for the ā€œ11sā€ would also help Zwift figure out edge cases on ZRS.

My fix of including a CE limit would be the fix for other cats

Really. So far doesnt look like that. And with the empty pens for the A riders it isnt that hard to be in the top 2/3rd and get a points raise.
And with the B riders also keep on getting points added and get promoted over time I think a lot more will reach the 900 limit.

Perhaps not now or in two weeks, but if this goes on for another 6 months we might even get riders who reach 1000.

Not seeing that. I raced 28 A yesterday including 2 of the top 3 ZRS. Raced 26 A again today including 1 of them.

Today the winners ZRS went up 9 to 783.

Well the moments I race, mornings in Europe, the pens are as empty as they can be. Most of the times not more than 5. Only when the time gets to 1.10PM there is a peek in numbers, for it to slow down again till prime time.

If I remember I will keep track on the numbers tomorrow and will check the Festival rides since they are there every hour.

A racing is a bit odd. A few people fall into place then there is a rush or we just go and do intervals instead.

ZRS doesn’t seem to account for 3 people vs 30.

Luckely I will probably never reach 690 ZRS so no worries here to see empty pens. Just as with CE C Cat the cats 3 and 4 in ZRS are pretty busy…

But I do think in 6 months we will have a lot more riders in the top cats.

The A racing calendar just looks a bit different to other cats. The level of effort/recovery is higher and freshness is being managed for ZWS or other race series. Quite a lot of folks race on a Tuesday Thursday Sunday calendar to focus on Sunday Race Club / Kiss 100, ZRL, and ZWS/Elite.

Most people need structured training in between the bigger things to maintain and improve.

yeah, it does

God willing

that’s the CE A calendar, but a lot of the time if you can’t make your own calendar match theirs, then there isn’t much to do. plus its nice to have secondary races to go with the primary ones… personally i prefer the secondary ones, these days

So hear me out on a feature that has never been suggested.

ā€œRace against a replay of a race that you competed in or did not compete inā€.

The new Zwift racing score is awesome but it would be great to have the ability to access a graph or other overview of how the score is progressing.

i hate it. but on ZRS, because you’re interested in the scoring and so am i since there’s nothing else to talk about for now…

i don’t keep a spreadsheet but i’ll pick a few recent results since i already have my own theory on why my own score moves the way it moves

my seed is between 750-760, my highest zrs is 777, and i’m currently 749 zrs. i think the reason has very little to do with my ZRS score or my seed

Higher seed than I would expect. Is that before the 15%?

811w 30s and a 5wkg 10 min… feels about right to me honestly, that’s plenty to work with at my size, even though i’m not hitting many of those big 30s numbers in the actual zrs races. but maintaining my score is probably going to be too hard in the long run even though i’m managing for now

my floor should be around 630 probably. maybe a little higher, i’m not about to find out on purpose

ā€œYou’ll enter your first race using a seed score—an estimated score based on your recent activity data. From then on, your score will be adjusted based on your results from each race. Your Racing Score will go up or down based on your finishing position, your competitors’ ability, the participant field size, and there’s a bonus for a podium finishā€

if you dont like puzzles i will just tell you my theory. i could just be flat out wrong anyway

Bonus might be 3x your gain and the gain was 3

I’m a lowly sub 300 racer, but I was very surprised that approx 20th/65 in Tiny Races pen E one gave me +3 and second in race 2 only gave me +7, similar gain of +6 for second in race 4.

In pen E, the podium bonus might be as low as 3-2-1.

I was expecting something more like 10-6-4 on top of gain for top x % of field.
