Keith messaged me to say that he was getting double XP again.
Catherine does a heck of a lot of riding on Zwift, way more than I did even before my accident. Very, very impressive.
Thanks for your reply.
But it does not work. There are 3 issues:
1)
For all that had more XP banked then level 60 requires, these are now lost.
I had about 1.550.000 xp before those new levels 51-60, now on level 60 I have 750.000.
2)
I donāt get double XP after level 60 (1.5 million xp should be good for much more than level 60).
While riding I see I earn 20xp per kilometer, so no double.
And⦠those xp are not added to my score, see next point.
3)
After reaching level 60, XPs are no longer added to your rider score, youāre stuck at 750.000.
That was different before. You were stuck at level 50 but still accumulated XP, which were shown in the app as rider score.
This would affect everyone, regardless of previous levels/xps.
So, are these bugs or is this by intention?
Would be nice, if Zwift could clearly communicate this. Thanks.
ps. Iām running latest Game Version: 1.30.0(105539) rc/1.30.0 on Windows 10 and could provide screenshots for all 3 issues
Thanks, Iāll try and pick this up again next week.
Assuming there arenāt going to be any more levels anytime soon whatās the point in having loads of xp that no one will see?
People can see the mileage and hours youāve done, is that not more important/impressive?
Iām not surprised that when thereās a counter on the HUD that tracks progress, some people will pay attention to it. They may be more focused on that than anything seen by others. Once you take away levels as a progress indicator, XP and drops are all thatās left on the game display.
XP isnāt displayed on the HUD.
All thatās eft except mileage, time, elevation gain etc etc - you know like all the things people track while actually cycling!
these are far more impressive than a random number counter that zwift invented.
Oh I thought Hor Categorie riders still got a moving slider on the HUD. Not so? They should! Back under my rock now.
Wasnāt having a go at you but i donāt see the point in XP once you have maxed out levels.
surely the time you have put in or climb you have done or mileage is more important isnāt it?
There should not be a max level.
XP is a nice easy summary of time you have put in or climb you have done or mileage.
You could also say having more than 10,000,000 drops is pointless too and they should be reset to āimproveā the game aspect and make it more fun for those people.
For me the XP was part of the record of the work I put in last year during a lockdown that I now canāt just easily get back because of my physical condition now. Iām at just over 600,000XP but had over 890,000 before the reset.
Complaining about the reset got me nothing but vitriolic and rude comments. So obviously you should just pay your money and be quiet.
All this fuss would have been avoided by not having a level limit in the first place. Then in the case we had here, simply putting people to the level they should be at by their XP number. and then letting them level up from there onwards.
not really, if you climb a lot this means youāll have fewer XPs as it is purely based on distance. Hence why it isnāt a useful thing to focus on
But you could do something with drops if you wanted to, XPs are completely pointless (ironically).
I completely agree having a maximum level is a ridiculous idea but seeing as there is one, XPs over this limit arenāt worth worrying about.
Before my accident Iād do ADZ once or twice daily (twice meaning 2222m+). So those XP matter to me because of how I got them.
but why do the XPs matter? they are just a number made up by Zwift to count you through levels. If you have no more levels to get to then XPs are relatively pointless to accrue
You still have all the elevation gain and mileage on your account which is a much more tangible measure of how much youāve been doing.
Agree. ( except for some they are a marker as to how much they have achieved in Zwift outside of levels )
But if Zwift then introduce more levels, say another 25 levels in two years time, do you think it should be a level playing field, for all, in the race to level 85. Or should those with banked XP be able to double up and get to level 85 quicker.
How Zwift allow riders to move upwards from level 60 is important in respect of how XP are used to speed up that levelling up process.
It isnāt fair anyway, some people will have way more than the upper limit by that time and some will have just over the new limit and these people are treated the same. Why double? Why not 4 times faster? 8 times?
This is my point, XPs arent worth worrying about. Mileage, time and elevation show how much effort someone has put in. XP are purely a measure of mileage (give or take a bonus here and there)
Zwift should never have had a cap on levels but seeing as they do XPs arent worth worrying about. When new levels are introduced just have everyone work through them at the same rate.
I recently made level 60 and noticed that I went back to receiving 30xp/mile instead of 60. I had much more XP than the required 750,000 for level 60 when ZWIFT dropped my XP down. I expected to continue earning XP at the accelerated rate until I gained back what I had before Zwift took it. It appears that all that XP is now lost. I lost over half of my XP. I have been on Zwift since 2016 which means Zwift took 3 years worth of hard work away. This feels like a giant middle-finger to all your long time customers. You took away what I earned for the last three years, but Iām sure youāll keep what you earned in the form of my monthly payment for those three years. Permanently taking away peopleās XP mocks their effort and makes the game aspect of Zwift pointless since on a whim or through error all that is earned can be lost.
I just noticed that NO XP IS BEING ADDED TO MY TOTAL AFTER LEVEL 60. I am being told that Iām earning 30xp/mile, but my total never goes above 750,000. You guys suck!
You should probably contact support and see if they can correct it.
