There have been 1000s of leagues so there is some clean up rules running on ā€œthe listā€. You can get back to it better from browser history than Zpower. ZwiftPower - Login

Matthew, yeah prime time matters most. But you cannot imagine, how many racers (including me) watching the signups and listen silent, who goes in which pen to jump quick on the bike. That made it all the years so spectacular (including zwift livestream shows on YT) for GC. Now its just boring, because ZRS racing is without soul. For a single win many other races are available.

Hello Tim,
tbh your data not that bad and nearly similar. Just step into the boat and try a monthly shot.
All your history data of zracing you find in zwiftpower in the upper menu line with the hashtag before the series name (#freshoutta 24). Use the search field to find yourself.
The freshOutta24 provided no pen ranking. so just overall E.
This way you can find yourself in Pos.695 CatC of the Flat is Fast 2024 monthly race. Here the rank list is coloured (known Cat colours). During the monthly event, each Cat has its own menu, and easier to find yourself. Now you can only filter from the colours and select the pages forwards. 1659pages Ć” 20 riders = 33000! racers in january 24.

an example of FiF24 attached. You can see, how close the summary were. In ZRS actually not possible. Wrong power in wrong pens allover the place.

Hopefully i make your mouth water for joining :v: :grinning:

While in concept this is a welcome change to the racing category structure, Iā€™m finding that the result for me (ranked near the bottom of the new ā€˜Advancedā€™ category with a racing score of ~707) is that there are now very few to no races available to me at my typical riding times. Given that I canā€™t really restructure my life to accommodate Zwift racing schedules, this change has been overall a net negative for me and the Zwift subscription loses a lot of its value proposition, given many days I now must opt for (much less engaging) solo rides.

Just to add an example: I want to ride within the next few minutes, and the next race I am qualified to enter is not for another 2 hours and 40 minutes. That is not reasonable, in my opinion. I think most would agree.

Some of your competitors have been discussing this over hereā€¦

Surely you donā€™t design zwift racing around those who are racing 4-5 times / week?!

Im pretty sure more folk would like to be able to complete all races of a series, which is much more challenging if they are all mixed up. People are busy man!

i love racing 7 days week on zwift.

Some people are racing 30 events a week. Some never raced.

Whatā€™s the median race frequency among those who race more than some minimum amount (could be 1/quarter)?

The following Math is bad but probably ā€œfineā€. Itā€™s probably 2-4 races a quarter as a median for the platform.

125k riders on Zwift and Strava (ā€œthis yearā€ filter on Tempus sprint).
26k registered Zwift Power riders did at least 1 race in the community race festival, and 8k only did 1.
The median all time race volume for DIRT is 84 races.
11k riders did TdZ in the first 6hrs but that will include people doubling up.

So 20% ish race. 6% more than 1 time in 2 months (Oct/Nov). Maybe 10-20% donā€™t register on Zpower.

Assume a 5-year ish average of DIRT riders and 84 races lifetime becomes 1.4 races a month, You could maybe double this to reflect seasonsā€¦

A 2year average would be 3.5 a month but biased to more ā€œrace focused folksā€ who joined Zpower and a team. AHDR is 131 median lifetime races, 4.3 on a 5 year average and 6month sub.

My point was very very basic - zwift shouldnā€™t be designing the format of zracing around people who race almost every day, who might get bored by having to race the same course multiple times.

Less than 10% finished all of Fresh outta 24, representing 1% of zwift.

Who should racing be designed for?

Zpower registration could be as low as 50% based on TdZā€¦ which is wild.

you mean ZP/Zwiftpower ? not Zpower Fake #watts @Matt_Wheeler

Yes the website. Comparing a couple of roll in late joins to my published ā€œresultā€ on zwift power . com

Iā€™ve generally been fairly frustrated with the race availability.

Iā€™ve been dithering around the 700 to 750 range and currently have a race score of 701 - just high enough to be excluded from most of the category range 2 races. I spent a good portion of the week looking for a stage 2 Flat is Fast race where I could enter and finally started Googling this afternoon because I was running out of time before it switched to stage 3. I finally found the schedule, but when I showed up at 16:15 PST / 17:15 MST for the last slot of the week, it was a 0 - 650 range race for some reason. Soā€¦ there goes this monthā€™s race challenge.

The times for Flat is Fast just donā€™t work for me. Thereā€™s a huge gap between 5:15 MST (where I am most definitely sleeping) and 10:15 MST when I am working. Similarly, Iā€™m still working at 17:15 MST, so I only have a handful of slots on the weekend - assuming they actually are slots.

Backing up a little bit more, Iā€™ve found very few opportunities to race at all. I randomly sampled 4 different slots this weekend and, besides some tiny races which I didnā€™t want to do, only found a single crit where I could participate - and that race had just one other competitor that quit out when I dropped him.

In addition to limiting availability, the new tiering system doesnā€™t really help make things more competitive for me. Iā€™m only 4.4 W/kg @ 75 kg and am still getting pitted against pros and semi-pros at 5.5+ W/kg. Itā€™s a good workout until we get to the first major climb, but the outcome never really is in doubt when thereā€™s that much overmatch.

Iā€™m at the point where Iā€™m just going to throw my next few races to get to a race score where I can actually race again and will then keep it artificially low by doing my zone 2 work in races I donā€™t care about. I suppose the alternative is to go looking for different platformsā€¦

I acknowledge that there are fewer advanced racers and itā€™s nice to reduce the number of slots so that the fields are larger, but the current state of things has gone too far and made it very difficult to race at all. The threshold for what constitutes ā€œadvancedā€ is also probably set too low.

Zwift TT Club is good for dropping your score as long as everybody else is not doing the same.

Just wanted to feedback that I am very grateful for the different range options as someone who has recently gone up to 271 and sits very close to the bottom of a boundary for events like Tiny races (260 - 400). I hope this is something that will continue going forwards.

Yup, itā€™s insane and Zwiftpower is supposedly the ā€˜officialā€™ place to see results. I know it wasnā€™t a race, but I rode in a PAS Normal ā€œJanuary Challenge Rideā€ yesterday (ID# 4686721). There are only 225 results showing in Zwiftpower, but according to Zwiftā€™s events page, there were over 900 signups. I donā€™t know how many actually showed up though. Thatā€™s a crazy huge disparity.
