Wont accept my login details.

When I try to log in, after I enter the password, it says “check internet connection” which I did and it was fine. I then restarted the computer and no difference. I also turned off  firewall.
The password is correct as I logged in to post this .Has this ever happened to anyone?

Have your problem solved yet? Did you figured out what caused the “check internet connection” problem?
I am in the same situation right now.
