User/community developed addons for customized interfaces and data analytics. Enough said.

It would be nice to be able to have user/community created add-ons packages to customize the user interface, so that, for example, overlay graphs of real-time power/cadence/speed, overlay views of the course map, more customized view of players (for example, maybe you want to filter out Z-power riders or capture only riders with “ZTR” in their name).

Instead of dealing with endless requests for user-interface-related features, the ability to plug in community-generated ui customization packages would be awesome.

Can you elaborate?

Sorry my iphone app did not let me enter text into the main text box.

I’ve updated the body. I realize this is a mobile limitation but let’s make sure there’s not just a subject and no body for these posts in the future

Interesting idea. As a bit of a data-geek, there are lots of stats I’d like to see displayed, but at the same time I realise other users probably wouldn’t. Community developed add-ons would solve this but there is potentially a big challenge; unless it was created with community developers in mind, it’s unlikely that a suitable development environment can be easily created. An alternative might be to create an API that would enable access to (some) data in the database so that people could develop third-party companion applications (for PC or mobile).
