Settings - What Does Workout Pain Effect Do?

Greetings,

In the in-game settings section, there is option for Workout Pain Effect. What exactly does this setting do?

it controls the graphical effect during some workouts when the screen gets blurry and distorted near the end of some harder intervals. if it annoys you you can turn it off with this option.
