Did a ride with Coco this morning, power was in-line with what it was for other PD3 and PD4 rides. One or two were complaining about Coco surging, definitely had some unexpected slowdowns and accelerations but I think it was a pack dynamics/increased draft thing - the group would push ahead of Coco on a couple little hills and open a gap which killed the drag for the bot and slowed it down, and then the opposite would happen on little downhills.
I’ve been monitoring my rides last week or so genie on tempus February the 16th 2023 I ws 198 watts at 65kg average speed 27.1 mph was 16 of us in group no one of front this months genie today 12 of us in group no one of front genie dropping us all 220 watts at 65kg 28.6mph so same route similar riders pd4 definitely harder
I’m comparing it against my own previous rides, rather than yours.
I’m 59kg and 175cm height - so much much lighter than you. And you guessed my weight almost correctly, so well done.
Correct. With Constance I need to do 229w average instead of 210w (both times PD4) and with Genie 207w now (which is close to what I used to do with Constance).
I need you to set up my Sauce. Awesome screen.
But you have to do more Watts because the Average Speed is higher…compare that and then when you find rides with similar avg speed on same course check your watts.
Proving the point that the robopacer is going much faster now, even with nobody for it to draft from.
Have Zwift people found anything more on this?
I’m going to go back to ADZ rides for now where this isn’t a problem.
This might be interesting for you.
Watts needed for Drafting at different speeds and how much watts needed without draft (Position 1)

Join the Sauce discord channel. There are people there with waaaay better setups than mine.
Getting back to the possible drafting issues of the Pacers reported a few days ago.
Here is a short video recording while fan viewing Genie in Watopia a few moments ago using a special debug version. You can see the numbers above the heads, are the draft saving values in percentage (inverted). So, 100 = NO draft. (Please ignore the white debug information to the left, that belongs to the player spectating).
As you can see the draft calculation for the pacers works perfectly fine and very quickly updated. What you see on top of the heads comes from network information. So there is some discrepancy with what goes on with Sauce…
What I see in the video is comparing ~20 seconds in vs ~50 seconds in. Genie travelling at 46kp/h with no draft, vs 45kph while receiving draft.
Please keep in mind the slight slope variations that exist on the road that you don’t see in the minimap (it doesn’t show decimal cases in the slope). Also keep in mind the other riders along the road that provide momentaneous draft to the RP.
The pace on flat courses is to fast for the output. I rode with Genie this morning and did 2.9 w/kg (254 watts) compared to her 3.7 and I wasn’t even trying to draft that much, but just to stay in the pack with some efforts off the front a couple of times. We did the temp reverse in 9:34 is just outrageous. Anyone have a reverse temp time with constants from last week to compare?
Nope genie was Constance pace yesterday just saying
On the flats, raw power is more relevant than W/kg. So your 254 W (with some drafting) seems consistent with Genie’s baseline 278 W.
I wouldn’t say that. Here is a three sisters ride with Genie from the 7th. I did almost the same watts…
Three Sisters isn’t a flat route. Also, the Robo Pacers use dynamic pacing i.e. their power output increases going uphill and decreases going downhill.
Depending upon your body weight (relative to the PP’s 75 kg), you may have to increase your power substantially more to match Genie’s W/kg going uphill.
on my ride with constance last week we were constantly around 9:15 every lap. i quickly checked an older ride and back in december 2022 the same segment was between 9:30 and 9:50. same same but different…
We all want those numbers during our rides. That way we can finally see when and how much draft we are getting.
I don’t

I only want the small ones.
