Hi, I would like to list all Zwift users. Ability to filter users by nationality.
To do what with?
I doubt Zwift are going to give you the facility to search for masses of users like that. If you have a genuine reason then i’d suggest contact Zwift support or put in feature request but I suspect you are wasting your time.
That’s a firm no. Zwift takes user privacy very seriously. Why would we allow any player to see a list of all other players?
Zwift’s user list is good for recruiting riders for the team.
It’s not going to happen.
You can always look at Zwift Power.
There are Facebook groups such as Zwift Racers where this sort of thing is more appropriate and expected. There are people there who would be receptive to your pitch. I’d recommend you recruit people over there.
Thank you. I don’t understand why you’re sending me away from Zwift.
Whilst it is great that Zwift are not just offering out this data to any takers , everyone has dived in on the OP assuming he was looking to do something unacceptable with it . Zwift has definately got a enablement issue with official supported access for developers to offer rich user created content , under proper governance of course , Its too restrictive in who has access and what it is. Its not so great as you say that Zwift sponsor a team event but dont really provide support for team recruitment and socialising. Thats just an observation that Zwift should consider potentially.
Having cited privacy concerns , however , Its probably not a good message to be directing people to anti-social media platforms , and thus implicating support of those platforms , that have zero respect for personal privacy and wellbeing.
Racer recruitment done the non-F%c*b&*k way, all inside Zwift: 1) race with someone you find worth asking to join your team 2) find them on the companion app 3) write a comment on one of their activities 4) profit. Sure, not as easy as spamming everybody, but that’s just a good thing in my book.
(Alternatively in step 1 you can of course also use Zwiftpower to identify specific racers to ask.)
It’s exactly what you say. The answers from Zwift are alibis.
WTRL provide support to match riders for ZRL, admittedly primarily through Facebook but you can email WTRL with details of what you are looking for and they will match make with any riders they have requesting rides.
OP: I’d also suggest Zwiftpower as the best source of this, it’s basically a list of racers that you can segment by country and any other aspect you like. Arguably it’s a much better source than a list of names from Zwift, as you know they are all racers, can see category, power numbers etc.
Zwiftpower also allows riders to signify they are searching for a team, though that relies on individuals keeping that information up to date
- I don’t always ride with all the riders I could address.
- In the accompanying application, I want to have a filter to search by nationality of persons.
- Comments are usually not read by anyone.
- Zwift Power is not used by all riders.
- Don’t send me to other platforms.
I know about the possibility to contact WTRL.
Zwift hides behind the protection of personal data, but provides it to third parties.
With respect, handing user data to a 3rd party developer who presumably has a legal contract and undergone due diligence for their data security practices, is a bit different to just handing over a list of personal information to some guy who asks for one on a forum.
You’re right. The forum is for discussion, so I discuss.
I am not requesting access to the list for my pleasure. I think that would benefit everyone
How do we or Zwift know that?
Why couldnt you just use the existing search feature in Zwiftpower? (Granted its slow & clunky but allows you to search by user)
Zwiftpower > Ranking > Individual > Search by country
I thank everyone for their efforts. My question is for Zwift. The moderator has already replied. I have to go to other platforms. I can be glad he didn’t send me between the halves.
