General questions after two months

Hello all and salute from Spain.

I have been cycling in zwift for near two months and have some unanswered questions:

  • Do cyclist weight have a real meaning in-game? bike and wheels weight too? 

  • Can i access to the record of my best lap, for instance? I want to check my progression. Do i have this information in the home page?

  • What are the different categories or “clans” that i found in game. How can i join a “bike clan”? I call “clans” to people with different tags in parenthesis.

  • My trainer, the Elite Turbo Muin (that i do love!) have a special selection in the pairing screen. How is Turbo Muin different from others trainers? I bought Turbo Muin because of having no wheel and it’s special way to exponentially increase resistance. How do you tested Turbo Muin in order to get the real watts?  My concerns about turbo Muin: when i am on 36/12 i really need to push, but i can’t get the same watts that when i use 50/17 that is much easier. I am sure that you did a great investigation/testing job, i just need you clear all my concerns.

  • As others said, you really change my lifestyle thanks to your hard and amazing work. I am showing zwift to all the bikers i know here in my city.

  • Can i switch off the virtual cyclists? With 1000 cyclists dailly, are really so needed?

  • Racing have any kind of rewards?

  • Can you get some kind of national jerseys?

  • Where can i find a complete list of promocodes to get new jerseys/bicicles?

There’s no clan feature in Zwift right now. The tags within parenthesis are part of people’s names. Done to indicate they’re participating in a certain group ride that day.

No, these can not be turned off. Unfortunately.

 

“Racing have any kind of rewards?”

There are the green ersey, polka dotted jersey and orange jersey as temporary jersey for cycling fastest on sprints, KOM, and total lap. Beyond that, there are no rewards.

 

“Can you get some kind of national jerseys?”

Currently this is not part of the game.

Weight affects your calculated output and thus your speed especially going uphill.  They tried to make it more lifelike.  probably the easiest way to cheat is to say you weigh a lot less than you really do.  I have a follower that on actual rides averages about 16mph but on zwift she is always in the 20s. (she is in her 60s and I know she cant do what her metrics show,  Is she cheating? I dont know and cant worry about her.  I have improvements to make for me) There are inconsistencies in the software calculations as my averages are usually higher in real life than on zwift.  But my metrics are improving on zwift and that is what is important to me.
