Game Update v 1.116 [June 2026]

Background updates have been around for a while i think.

We must be nearing time for something to outclimb the Aethos as well. The folks riding mountains have been largely exempt from the need to spend excessive amounts of drops on new faster bikes.

The auto-advance from initial pairing screen has been broken since 1.115, worked fine in 114 and earlier.

All five of my connections auto-connect in the same amount of time they always have but once that happens, I have to click OK instead of the five second countdown starting. No change in devices or anything.

I’d verify this by setting aside knowndevices.xml, do a ride, restart the game, see what happens. If different, compare the old and new files.

Works fine for me. The only time it hasn’t worked and I’ve had to hit OK is if one of my usual devices isn’t paired, like if I forgot my HRM or something, then it won’t auto-advance.

Thanks kindly. Makes sense that I had missed that change. Until this year I only used Zwift from the time the snows fly until about May.

I just ctrl-X’d my knowndevices file out of the AppData/local/Zwift folder and set it aside, loaded Zwift up again, added my trainer/HRM and then quit out and reloaded, it reconnected automatically to all 5 connections but still didn’t advance.

Based on absolutely nothing but my own personal speculation, I’m guessing we’ll have 4 new Halos this fall, one climbing, one gravel, one weirdo 90s bike, and… probably a TT. Guessing Cervelo, Canyon, Giant, and…?? Probably not Trek since there’s been nothing new from them in a while. Maybe we’ll finally get that Tron Trial bike I’ve been trying to will into existence.

Anyone notice if Paris has opened up today?

Just noticed James Bailey on the FB group page said he didn’t expect it, but it was stated from the news page back in March:
NEW ROADS, PLANNING TOOLS AND DEEPER OUTDOOR INTEGRATION SET TO HELP YOU GET MORE FROM THIS SEASON WITH ZWIFT | Zwift Newsroom

If anyone was curious where the confusion from the community is coming from…

Wrench thrown into my expectations on this… hoping we can see it happen before end of the year but turns out this was not happening in the background.

I believe there were only two new roads promised in “This Season on Zwift”, which was pretty underwhelming to begin with, and those were:

#1 Gravel Mountain - removed after 24 hours.

#2 Paris Expansion - scheduled launch date is apparently passing without even a comment from Zwift?

Canyon Ultimate CF Evo 10.0 LTD and the CF Evo SL would be both nice for very light all rounder bikes which are somewhat aero (as the real one is) but super light and fast uphill. I am biased because I own a 10.0.

Colnago C72 would be damn nice too:

I have no allegiances there, don’t yet have any Italian bikes IRL.

Experience shows that Zwift does its own thing usually.

I have (Canyon Inflite) it as my cheap gravelbike. Put the nice zipps and go! But the gravel side of zwift is a little lite now. What happened to al that.?!
And why erase this iconic bike?? :person_shrugging:

I would expect it to launch with the start of the tour next weekend?

Personal speculation? So, I can quote that as fact, right?

I have tried to get Cube to add their climbing elite frame to Zwift (and if I can get a sample, even better). For a retro, I like those old white Campy disc wheels, so beautiful.

Yes, the climb is alive and has been released…sort of.

The new section is available only in events scheduled with Tour Fever Races and rides. After that, it will be available in free ride mode.

yes, welcome to Zwift. You will learn to like this style of (non)-communication…:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

We are working on fixes to this before a re-release

I believe there will be a Zwift Insider post on this early next week. It is coming soon (next couple of weeks) and we’ll release more information shortly.

It is actually live already, but the routes haven’t been turned on yet (I know this is a bit of a copout). Gives everyone a chance to update otherwise things might get a bit messy when the routes are being used.

Instead of saying “live”, I think a better way of saying it is -
The new roads and routes are in game, but not turned on yet.

There are no new routes, period. The rest is just marketing talk.

New routes are being released with the Tour. Several posts state this.
