Enough is enough..Fix the bugs

Hi Wes,
English is not my native language - could you please tell me what do you mean with “sanctioned Meet-up Hack”? You linked an one year old article, I am not sure if the meetups had the same functionality like now, but today meet-ups are a Zwift feature, not a hack.
There are many reasons why we can complain about Zwift, but please stay fair.

Like RGT is doing right now? You can ride anywhere in the world.

Can you provide more info? I couldn’t find any mention about riding anywhere in the world.

The magic road feature lets you upload a GPX route and it will convert it into a rideable route which matches corners abs gradients.

I see, I thought you might have meant that. But it’s not exactly as you’ve described it (ride anywhere in the world). It’s more of a generic visual representation of gradients, that’s it. You can import gradients in Zwift as well, but you have to ride an available world in Zwift.

That really isn’t the same.

It most definitely isn’t. But claiming RGT allows you to ride anywhere in the world is a MASSIVE overstatement.

I wanted to be sure my comment was on topic but I guess with a subject of “fix the bugs” anything is fair game.

You can ride any Zwift world anytime if you use the Zwift Prefs program.

open Zwift Prefs, make your selection, open Zwift.
Easy.

Or through Zwift Companion, you can set up a meetup ride with one of your friends in one of the worlds that’s not up on the “Guest World” rotation. I’ve done a meetup on Lutscher in Innsbruck and we saw something like three other riders in the time we were there. Pretty spooky…

AppleTV doesn’t do Zwift Prefs.
So, the Meetup is the way to go for that.

The method described in the linked article is still quite relevant, and used every day by MANY Zwifters. The reason I put the word ‘hack’ in scare quotes is to emphasize that it’s a feature, not a bug (and it was addressed to a different contributor). I wasn’t complaining! I was attempting to assist another user with his issue. You’ve misunderstood.
