Sure. I didn’t want to comment because I have no knowledge of group riding on road bikes and I’m not particularly interested. My IRL racing on bikes has been BMX racing in summer and fatbikes on snow-pack. Group rides on open roads are too high risk for me.
I was there few days ago in that group and noticed the other riders could still come from behind and push me out of the way.
I thought everyone wanted overtaking to be on the outside (where it should be more difficult), that theoretically should slow down the churning effect.
