When the Zwifters Nearby list isn’t displaying other riders on the new cobbles, this is typically caused by a network connectivity problem between you and the Zwift servers. Try these quick fixes:

• Check your internet connection – A weak signal may prevent riders from appearing.
• Reboot your router
• Restart Zwift – Logging out and back in can refresh the rider list.
• Verify firewall/VPN settings – Network restrictions may block Zwift’s traffic.
• Check Zwift server status – Temporary disruptions could affect visibility.

This is a bug that has been reported several times already. It is not a network problem.

Thanks Jose but that’s not it. The list disappears ONLY when I’m on a cobbled section, and comes back when I’m on an established road (not a new one).

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. I uploaded your log file from your session prior to you writing in to Zwiftalizer.com. This is a terrific third party tool that diagnoses what’s happening on your end. The things that stuck out are: 1) you’re using AppleTV and 2) this session was open for almost 24 hours.

When the Zwift app is left running in the background on your AppleTV (this applies to iOS and Android too), it causes all sorts of random-seeming problems.

As a first step, please restart your Apple TV. There’s several ways to do that. Pushing the power button on the remote is only putting it Sleep. That’s not the same thing.

Please get in the habit of force-closing the Zwift app after you save-and-exit your session. Here’s how. This is different than swiping an app into the background, which leaves the app running.

Would you try that and see if that helps make the gremlins go away?
