Would it be possible to add a few additional seconds to allow for a spin-up to a specific wattage.  For example I was on 6 week FTP builder week 3 day 2 - Fitness and there is a set where you have to go from 105 watts to 320 watts.  But you are only at 320 watts for 10 seconds.  By the time I get shifted to a suitable gear to crank 320 watts the 10 second interval is nearly over.  Would be nice it there was a 3-4 second spin up buffer before the high wattage segment timer actually starts.
