The gear I am usually in on the flat is now impossible to ride in because the resistance has gotten harder. Everything is up to date
Hi, I’m on a Elite Direto XR trainer and since the last update I have been having issues with my zwift play controlers.
It appears that the trainer wants to stick in one gear and then gets harder to turn. It’s like the old spiral of death but not as bad.
I have to keep adjusting the pairing settings and switching off the play controlers and then back on again and reconnecting the trainer.
Eventually I get it all to work normally and have a normal ride. But it’s frustrating to have this.
I don’t know if you are in the same boat with using play controlers or not.
Im having this issue but its not happening from the start of the ride. I normally can warmup in the “normal” gear, and when switching to a race or event, the resistance spike happens.
The only thing I have found that works is closing zwift completely, restarting the trainer and rejoining the event directly. It must be related to the last update because it never happened before and I havee not changed anything on my side.
Same here, it only started happening after the last update. But if I cycle fast in 10th gear it kicks in and recalculates itself and goes back to normal.
That’s interesting, how fast are we talking about? I had to complete yesterday a TT like this, and it never fixed.
so leave it in an easy gear to pedal in at 90rpm, mine was 10th gear I think and stay in that gear till it readjusts. Make sure your play controllers are up to date on zwift before loading the game
