Hello,
I have an issue with my Zwift Ride (which was working perfectly yesterday). I use Apple TV in case that is relevant
When I change gears, it updates the gear number on screen, but the resistance does not change. For some reason, when in Erg mode during a workout, the resistance does change.
I’ve tried to power cycle, delete and download apps, updated to latest version, turned off bluetooth on all nearby devices, reset everything in the Wahoo app, and nothing works.
Anyone come across this issue before? Any one have a fix?
Any help much appreciated
Thank you!
D.
Which model of Kickr do you have? If it’s a Kickr Core V1, you could try setting the wheel size in the Wahoo app to anything. The size doesn’t matter, but changing it can resolve a bug that sounds like it might match your symptoms.
ERG mode doesn’t use virtual shifting so this is something that only happens in simulation mode.
Hi Paul,
Thanks for the response.
I have the Kicker Core 2, so I don’t think changing wheel size will fix it unfortunately

Are you pairing via the Companion app or directly to the Apple TV?
The Kickr Core 2 supports bridging accessories like the HRM or Ride controls, so for many people that removes the need to pair through the Companion app. I would want to try both methods and see if there’s any difference in behavior.

The Kickr Core 2 also supports pairing the trainer via either WiFi or Bluetooth, so I would try both. I have heard many cases where pairing via WiFi was less reliable than Bluetooth but for the sake of troubleshooting I would experiment with both methods.
