I’ve just updated to the latest version and the right controller no longer changes gear, steers or brakes.
Right after the firmware update the controllers won’t connect anymore. It says NO SIGNAL on the pairing screen.
I recently got the Zwift ride frame. Everything worked perfect for about a week. Now when I go to use it the down and right arrows do not work in the menus, but up and left do. In game my “bike” will make “u-turns” every 10 seconds, as if I was holding the down arrow constantly. Hard to get a ride in when all you do is circles! All other functions work on the left controller, and the right controller works fine too.
I’ve tried the hard reset and it didnt help. I’ve also followed the instructions to get into Calibration mode but the light never turns white, it stays flashing blue.
Help! Not happy to have spent a bunch of money of something I cant use!

Thank you for your reports - we’ve investigating.
Shuji at Zwift HQ here. I’ve been scanning server logs for everyone in this thread for clues. In your case - you have an ANT+ dongle plugged in to your PC, and your KICKR Core was paired over ANT+ when you wrote in. It looks like you figured out the problem, because I see you did a ~28 km ride yesterday. Please let us know that the NO SIGNAL issue no longer appears for you?
For those reading along - if you have an ANT+ dongle plugged in to your PC or Mac - we recommend removing it so that you are forcing your trainer and Zwift Ride / Click controllers to pair over Bluetooth. Virtual shifting will not work if if the trainer is paired over ANT+. Removing the dongle is the surest way to eliminate this as a culprit.
@Stephen_Lormor_RCC and @Warm_Toiletseat_DWTC
Please power cycle everything (i.e. the computer that’s running the Zwift main app and Companion app if you use it, also the trainer and the Ride controllers) and try again.
If you are troubleshooting using several computers to log in to Zwift - don’t. Logging in from multiple devices causes its own issues, and it’s better to simplify (eliminate multiple points of failure) during troubleshooting.

In your case - the U-turn symptom might indicate that sweat ingress is causing your button to behave as though it’s stuck. If it’s a symptom that occurs only after you’ve been riding for a while - please try draping a small gym towel over the bars to keep sweat off of the controllers. If that doesn’t solve the U-turn symptom - please contact my Support colleagues to discuss an exchange on the handelbar unit.
A power cycle resolved the problem
Similar issue with my new Zwift Ride. Buttons worked fine during the first few weeks. Now buttons Y and Z appear to have a mind of their own. Ride on bombs are sent constantly. Powerups are activated immediately when obtained. Other issues with buttons are intermittent: end ride, view another rider, and so on. Looks like the right controller is faulty. It has become very frustrating during the last few rides. Sent an email some days ago, but have not yet heard back from Zwift.
Hi @shooj and everyone,
I’ve got EXACTLY the same issue : bottom and right arrows doesn’t work, unstoppable U-turns …
Looks like this came since the new firmware update ? At my today’s ride, controller even started to be crazy and had to stop…
It’s a shame as this is my 1st week of use of this Zwift Ride …
is there any solutions ? Or ongoing investigations ?
Thanks for your feedback.
I had mine for a week of perfect operations, then suddenly it stopped working. I’m not sure if it was after the firmware. All I can do now is workout or races where the u-turn isnt an option. Still waiting to hear back about a replacement as nothing I tried has worked.
Yeah, the same 1 week without noticeable issues but right now this is impossible to ride …
I hope they will help us to resolve.
Looking forward to their conclusions.
Chiming in here - did a ride last night and things were ok (I think?), but now bottom and right arrows don’t work, and right controller buttons aren’t working at all.
Ugh jumping in a ride makes everything crazy like buttons are pressing on their own, so now I can’t ride (as disabling controllers would mean I can’t shift).
Bummer, Zwift fix this please!
The ANT+ should not be an issue because I tried all combinations of ANT, BT, no ANT, only ANT… The Zwift Play controllers did not connect in any scenario. So that’s not a factor I think.
And yes I was able to connect eventually that day but I had to use the companion app which I would rather not have to do every time from now on.
It is strange that the issue occurred right after the Zwift Play firmware update.
Thank you for your efforts.
If you haven’t tested with the ANT+ dongle removed, do try that so you can have clarity about it
Hi everyone,
You guys, have you found any solution related to this issue ?
@shooj, can you tell me if this will be corrected or tips to solve it ?
Thanks a lot and good rides!
