Dear all,
I just bought a Hammer Speed Race X and want to use it with Zwift.
I am having issues with the »levels« / »resistance« and watt, rpm and speed parameters. Bike is connected via bluetooth, seems to work fine.
Whenever I start riding it goes to level 1 (which of course is too low resistance for a workout). As soon as I change the levels to lets say 25 and ride for a few seconds it jumps back to 1 or any low number again. Also the speed is totally off. The bike shows me a speed between 25 and 30km/h and on zwift its between 45-55km/h.
Any idea what’s the problem with my setup?
Thank you
Since the Hammer bikes are not officially supported by Zwift, their support people probably won’t know what to do for you (no harm in asking them directly, but don’t be surprised if you don’t get much advice). Roberto Viola, author of the QZ app, is the guy who really knows how to make spin bikes work with Zwift. It’s a paid app but he will provide support for it. You can raise an issue on his GitHub page: GitHub - cagnulein/qdomyos-zwift: Zwift bridge for smart treadmills and bike/cyclette
There is also a Qdomyos Zwift Facebook group which you could use to ask questions about it.
Bikes like that cannot measure power accurately, but if you feel the power is too high, the QZ app can reduce it for you. It’s normal that the bike would report a speed different from Zwift because Zwift takes the power number from the bike and has its own algorithm to calculate speed which includes your height, weight, road surface, climbs, descents, drafting, etc.
This spin bike doesn’t actually measure your power, so it is likely highly inaccurate. Please DO NOT use this for racing on Zwift, if you want to ride around and do some group rides that is fine, but do not enter races.

thanks @Mike_Rowe1. How would I make this reading accurate?
you would need to install power meter pedals, but those are usually quite expensive. A better option is a real bike and a smart trainer like the Wahoo Kickr Core 2. If you can return the spin bike for a full refund you should really consider getting rid of it.
