how do we write them and ask for them to provide support for these devices. It’s been clear for a while that Microsoft has been helping support the growth of ARM devices with windows OS.
As the popularity of windows ARM64 devices grow, it’s important that Zwift is taking action in supporting their customer base to enable them to run on the ARM based architecture for windows. I’ve recently switch to an windows arm based device and now the experience is quite bad at best or does not run at all. When will Zwift begin supporting the windows based arm architectures?
Hello,
Zwift on snapdragon x…soon?
Thx
Merci Steve et bonne soirée
Hi @Patrick_Bobst, welcome back to the forums! Monica here from the Zwift team. I understand how important it is for you to know if Snapdragon will be supported on Zwift, and I’m happy to help you with that.
The processors that can run Zwift include:

Hi Monica,
Are there any plans to support Snapdragon processors in the not so distant future. I’m looking at new laptops and while i probably won’t use for gaming it might be a factor in my decision.
Thanks
Gordon
@Rhino-Racing
This is on our radar, but no timelines to reveal at this time.
thanks good to know.
Why is it so hard for Zwift to commit to supporting windows computers with arm processors. You support Apple computers with arm based processors? Isn’t it time after many years to do it for windows computers as well? This question comes up over and over with no update info. It seems like an issue many of your customers are hoping to get solved. Personally i barely use Zwift anymore because of this.
I recently got a Surface Pro 12 with a Snapdragon processor, not realizing that Zwift doesn’t support that hardware. I am so disappointed. I specifically bought this tablet to replace my old Surface that’s been running Zwift for years.
Zwift will launch on my new Zurface and I can log in, but when I try to enter the “worlds,” the app crashes. The logs say it’s missing files it needs to load the worlds. Same behavior when run under emulation. I contacted Zwift support and they listed a bunch of troubleshooting steps, none of which worked. PLEASE Zwift, make a plan to support this hardware.
Same here. I loved my old i5 Surface laptop for the past 7 years, including 6 years running Zwift without issues. I only bought a new one because I couldn’t update it to Windows 11. I’m incredibly disappointed and most likely will return it as I’m in the 60 day return window.
If you want a laptop that gives you the best Zwift experience, get one with a dedicated GPU, not integrated graphics. A mid-range gaming laptop (or better) with an Nvidia GPU would be my recommendation.
I’m not looking for a gaming rig to run Zwift. I’m not setting the bar to high to just want it to run: right now it crashes before I can even get in. It’s not a performance problem, it’s a compatibility problem. Zwift does not support this entire line of GPUs which is ridiculous because they are becoming more and more common.
I think your desire is reasonable. Maybe someday they will do it. My suggestion is only about what to do now if you want to run the game as it is on hardware you can buy.
That’s annoying. really no way of returning it even if opened?
@shooj assume this is still on the radar and no further forward?
It is on our radar, we continue to raise this as an important issue to solve.
Hi Shuji,
Please make hurry in progress this topic and solve our problem in using Zwift on Windows Pro Elite Snapdragon. Since D-day for former Windows 10 users the number of clients with this New high end spec Windows laptop is increasing.
So please make, communicate and release an update for Zwift working well with amr-processors for us……
With friendly regards,
Anne-Hans
The fact this has been going on for users since February and zwift still haven’t done anything shows how much they care about customers.
Like you said these are now becoming the new normal for windows 11 in the UK when I went in to a store to purchase a new laptop at least 50% had snapdragon x processors and the staff recommended them for performance. @MonicaP any news?
Ive opened tickets but the service and replies are next to useless. I’ve had to do some digging myself to find out that zwift won’t run on these processors as it’s hidden away on zwift website
