November 16th, “Hitting the BRAEks” (article incorrectly says 9th at time of posting).

Up tarmac side of Sgurr and then increasing distances into the Glasgow Crit circuit, race one only 2.2Km, very low distance total for quartet of ~16Km.

November 23rd, “Jarvis returns.”

Hmmm that sounds like fun and no burrito to be seen \o/

November 30th, “A fresh mix.”

Ahhh burrito, easy skip again this week.

Burrito was on the stage that was least affected by drafting, when we had the rampy climb to the KOM banner.

Zone 2 full results…

Strange week for me, I went in expecting very little, after struggling in recent weeks. No idea how I got 16th in race one and came close to getting 13th; race two was the slog I expected these days but pleasantly surprised to finish 26th; race three should have been my best result but I went just before the bunch sprint and blew up to come 19th after a mass mugging; race four should have suited me quite well but it was a struggle to make up a few places at the end to come 23rd.
64-76 racers in each stage for pen E (although much lower than signups again, which were much closer to 100 on companion app).

With a lot of luck, revised seed scores after the removal of the 30sec power and hopefully increased W/Kg bias, a lot of the sub 260 ex- Category Enforcement Cs will end up in pen D next weekend if 260 remained the pen E threshold.

December 7th, “W/Kg vs W.”

lol @Eric_Schlange_ZwftIn zwift let me into race, why dont you talk to them about it but no you DQ me, zwift let me go into that Cat.

If he is DQ from the weekend for riders in wrong category, there’s a few more need doing in other races.

One rider in the <400 field was over 500 points post race 2.

LOL back atchya, @Bath_Salts. You knew exactly what you were doing, even if Zwift’s system allowed it. :kissing_smiling_eyes:

For this past Saturday’s races (and I’m hoping this is a one-off thing due to the ZRS rejiggering midweek) I applied the following rules to DQ a few obviously-underseeded riders:

  • I only looked at riders in the top 5 overall of each category
  • If they’re currently more than 25 points over the limit for the category they raced, they will be DQ from just race #4 so they can’t win overall
  • If they’re more than 50 points over the category limit, I DQ’d them from all 4 races, because you basically knew exactly what you were doing at that point - and it’s not fair to the other racers

We’ll see what happens next Saturday, but I think we won’t see many people who are so far out of category moving forward. Fingers crossed…

Pen enforcement is coming soon, Zwift tells me. As always, thank you for pushing the boundaries so Zwift is forced to tighten things up!

Maybe you can use your influence with Zwift to get ZRS scores to at least show in in a Zwiftpower column for all entrants BEFORE (and after for that matter) races begin?
