Zwift Hub Rubbing

Hello! Does anyone know how to help with the issue in the picture? It appears the top wheel of my hub is rubbing against the plastic casing. This happened after I tried to switch from a regular cassette to the zwift cog. Any information on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Tim_Podgalsky

Welcome to the forums. This is Haziel from Zwift Support. I understand that after switching to the Zwift Cog, you were hoping for a smoother virtual shifting experience, but are encountering some rubbing issues with the hub casing.

Here are a few suggestions that have been helpful for others in similar situations:

  • Check Cog seating: Make sure the Zwift Cog is fully flush against the freehub body. If the lockring isn’t tightened evenly, the Cog can sit slightly off‑axis and cause rubbing.

  • Re‑balance the pulley wheel: I will share this article, Re-balancing the Zwift Hub Pulley Wheel, which has information that might be of help.

If reseating and re‑balancing don’t solve it, please feel free to contact us.

How hard should I have to push the pulley wheel to move it?

I took the quick release axle out but it doesn’t seem to want to move at all.
