Hi there,

in the stage 5 it will be provided only 1 feather as well as the other stages for the whole race or it will be more? i need them all :stuck_out_tongue:

Zwift Insider article mentions one feather in the pen plus additional feathers at the arches prior to the final two climbs.

Two feathers before the Grade climb and then NINE (9) feathers on the Grade. New feather power up at each of the banners on the way up. Those who know this have at least a 30 second advantage.

This is incorrect, Eric’s post at ZI explicitly states that you only get one feather PU per race.

Now, I have done other events up the Grade where you did get a feather per segment, but that is not what happening here.

Stage 5, March 16-22: Epic

  • Watopia’s Three Step Sisters (38.1km, 586m elevation)
  • Powerups: Feather given in the pens, and at the arches prior to the final two climbs (March 16 edit) watching YouTube race streams, it appears the Feather is given in the pens and at every arch on course except the Jarvis KOM. This includes feathers at all 10 arches up The Grade!

yeah, i just did the Stage 5 yesterday, and there was 1 feather before each climb and several (9-10) up the Grade…so you dont need to save anything untill The grade :slight_smile:

Hehe. Yes, me too.

It’s amazing how this stage will define everything. In the previous stages, if you are al light rider, you can take advantage of the draft,however on The Grade, there is no way. It’s pure advantage for the light riders with no way for the big ones :frowning:

Previous final stages of Zwift Games have always been climber routes too, Mountain Mash iirc.

Now I’m a bit miffed. I did it last week & didn’t see a single feather from start to finish, and I hate flogging up that hill​:face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

These are the power ups I received last night. I’ve capitalised the locations of the 3 main climbs to help with identifying the locations where you receive feathers:

Hilly loop - Feather

Jarvis sprint rv - XP

JARVIS CLIMB

Jarvis KOM rv - XP

Jarvis Lap rv - Feather

EPIC KOM CLIMB

Woodland sprint - Feather

Sasquatch sprint - XP

THE GRADE - 10 feathers (or 9, wasn’t really counting the exact number but one for each gate)

You can use your feather right out of the pens as you immediately got another one at the banner just after the start. Save that feather to use on the Jarvis KOM (you get another after the descent). You start getting feathers on the grade right from the bottom so no need to save the feather you get on the coastal road. Use when needed.

If only I’d seen this before racing tonight. I knew there were others on the course. I didn’t seem to get anything on the Jarvis KoM but I did in the following sprint banner. I got another at the Woodland sprint, which I still had at the next sprint so don’t know if that was giving out. Then on the Grade I was nearly at the top when someone in front of me used a feather before one of the segment arches and one shortly after. All that time I was hanging on to the one from the Woodland Sprint. Rubbish cooms, Zwift.
