Zwift for short (5’0) female

Hi all,

Looking to see if anyone has any advice for me to get started with Zwift. I’m not a cyclist so knowledge is minimal, I’d be looking to use zwift for general fitness and I don’t currently own a bike.

I like the look of the Zwift Ride however I’m unsure if I would fit. I’m 5’0 and my inseam is 27inches to the floor. I’ve searched but there is mixed advice and the size chart starts at 5’0. It’s a lot of money for it not to fit well!

I saw the other option is to get a xs road bike and a trainer like the Wahoo Kickr core 2. Could someone help me understand what sort of bike to look for as it has to be a 8-13-speed bike. I had a look on fb marketplace etc but most didn’t clarify the components and there wasn’t much XS ones near me.

Ideally I’d like to not go over £1000 total for bike & trainer.

would this be okay from Decathlon? Triban road bike EDR easy. If anyone knows of any others I’d be grateful! Thanks

Yes that should work with the Kickr Core. It is a very standard 8 speed road bike.

I’m not sure if the Zwift Ride will fit you or not, it should be very close. They do offer an optional adjustable crank arm which you could use to reduce the saddle height by another 1cm if needed.

Being a novice cyclist and Zwifter, I have a hard time advising on buying a Zwift Ride as a starting option. Have you gone to a bike shop and test fitted different size frames?

I think you need XXS size bike and XS could still be a little big and not all brands sizing is the same, my partner is 5’2 and on a Canyon gravel bike XS on Zwift and its a little big for her, XXS would of fitted her better.
