How about an Everest day where we climb The Grade (very minimal descent time). It also has two turnaround points, so no need to have to press the u-turn button. There’s also ten opportunities for feathers.
It would be 30 laps but by being a short route (instead of Ventoux), you would be riding with many more riders than a very long route.
I had suggested December for Everesting and I thought it was approved for this year, 2026.
For the jersey shown above…maybe. I did it on the Alp and I may never do another. The Ventoux is tempting. I would need a lot more feathers, lol. (only 6 trips)
I rode the Grade 3 times today…not sure if I could do 27 more. I used Hilltop Hustle so that I could rest a bit before the next attempt up the Grade…the downhill is just so quick. At least on Ventoux, you can change or snack on the descent. But, socially, the Grade would be good fun.
I checked with Tourterfest…there will be an official Everest Day! (near the end of December, Tuesday the 29th with several start times)
Setting up Camps to train and ride up the Grade. Unlimited feathers. Unlock their jersey too.

As far as I’ve noticed they.. well, Arran and Kristen specifically, have been doing them monthly now. Noticed this when they did an vEverest on Montmartre the week of release … on like a random Monday/Tuesday.
Kirsten did it; took her like.. wait let me double check that.
24 hours 31 minutes…
Not many stops either from her trace.
Not a total fan of people knowing this stuff though.
I don’t agree with them doing vEverests once per month now, that’s not healthy, but understand this isn’t the place for that discussion, just voicing it.
It’s the new thing. Actually, folks now do double or triple vEverests, because the single 8900m must be too common! (Not for me, as I haven’t done one and no intention either).
I joined a couple of riders a while back doing one of these extreme attempts, the pace they were doing was also crazy - 3.8-4.0w/kg! ~2100m+ was all I planned to do and when I looked back later they were still going well past 12,000m+ at fast pace.
I just sent over an email with the GPX file. I’m not sure if this will work with the system, but I uploaded a sample GPX file to WhatsOnZwift and it was able to create a workout around the GPX. I added four downhill sections to give riders a break from the solid climbing. I’m not able to see it using Strava/Garmin/RidewithGPS because the embedded elevation tags don’t map to real-world terrain. Not sure if this is a problem for climb portal.
