Zwift cog on a 7 speed chain

Hi just a quick question

I nave a 7 speed bike which i have been using on my kicker core with a 7 speed cassette with spacers.

I was thinking of upgrading to use the zwift cog and click due to virtual shifting. Which would save me having to mess around with indexing etc.

would i be able to use the zwift cog with my chain?

You don’t need a zwift cog for virtual shifting, just use your 7 speed cassette but leave it in one gear.

Most 7 speed chains these days are designed for 6/7/8 speeds and should be OK on the cog. If it’s too wide then you can get a narrower 8 speed chain which will work fine on a 7 speed bike. But it’s true the cog is not required, and if you have a bike with drop handlebars then I would just get the Play controllers and skip the rest.
