I just bought a new Zwift core V2 with click shifting and I’m about to return it. I simply can’t get the click shifting to work, so I just stay stuck in whatever gear the device was in when I bought it. I followed all the directions and updated everything. In Zwift, I connected the trainer as well as the click shifters. However, when I start a ride and try to shift, this is what I see.
First off, as you can see from the warning message you are getting, your Kickr Core isn’t connected to Zwift, so that’s your first and main problem. If it’s not connected, your Click has nothing to interact with, ie nothing to change gears on. So, need to fix that first.
When you get to the pairing screen, the Kickr Core should be listed in three places (Power, Speed, Cadence) which are the top two icons and the bottom left one. Then, you need to make sure the Click controllers are listed in the “Controls” icon, which is bottom middle.
Work on getting your trainer connected properly, then work on getting the Click connected and let us know.
If it’s not connected, then how can I be moving while on zwift? When I pedal, the bikes moves. Also, power source identifies and pairs with/connects to my trainer. The message still shows up. Are you describing something else?
The first screenshot looks like it dropped at least cadence, since that’s grayed out in the top right.
I’ve seen Zwift drop pairings during a ride. Does the pairing return on its own?
What protocol did you select?
Bluetooth?
DirCon?
It also looks like you are running Zwift on a tablet.
Did you pair directly to the tablet or pair through the Companion App?
Well, turning on resistance seems to have solved that problem… Thanks so much! So it looks like I’m keeping the device – – except now I have a new problem: even my lowest gear is very difficult and puts me at virtually my FTP. Is there Something that resets the gears to be a little bit more realistic?
