I’ve had this issue on and off for the past few months. I disable video highlighter on zwift and issue seemed to improve. but recently (today) I tried logging in and the issue happened 3 times requiring me to hard reset my computer. When I log into zwift and switch on my phone to connect via zwift companion after about 10min to 30 minutes the computer goes into a power-saving mode and it disables my keyboard. Nothing works to re-active it (ie. pressing keyboard, clicking mouse) I have to hard reset my computer to exist. I disable all power-saving modes on windows and still no help. Im on a google-mesh network. I use a kicker core. I’ve updated my display driver to latest. zwift and companion app is the latest
Hi @Jhonson_David, welcome to the forums!
I’m Fernanda, from Zwift.
I wanted to share my thoughts on the matter you’re working on. It looks like it might have something to do with your Windows settings. I’d love to help you out through email. Be sure to keep an eye on your inbox, as I’ve already sent you some steps to take.
I did all you mentioned. It seems to me the computer is crashing and not detecting the keyboard or mouse and as a result the monitor goes into a power saving mode immediately. The computer tower I can see is still on but unresponsive. All I see is a black screen that says cannot detect HDMI [entering power saving mode]
OK nothing wrong with that collection of parts as far as I can tell. But there is something very wrong with your PC. Zwift is often the most demanding application that people run so it tends to surface equipment faults. I doubt that anything you do with Zwift is going to make a difference here.
One thing you could try is removing the RX 570 and testing Zwift using the Radeon integrated graphics. This will not result in good Zwift performance because your RX 570 is better, but it would give you a chance to operate the system with much lower power consumption. If the system is stable when do that, you might suspect the PSU or GPU. Aside from that suggestion, you might consider posting your experience on the ZPCMR group on Facebook where a lot of Zwift PC experts hang out.
