A simple question about the Zwift Academy 2024 Races.

Can we do any Zwift race or must the race be a special Zwift Academy 2024 Race?

I haven’t seen to many Zwift Academy 2024 Races of ZwiftPower.

Q: What do I need to do to graduate from Zwift Academy?

A: To graduate from Zwift Academy, you’ll need to complete the program’s six workouts and two races between August 5, 2024, and November 3, 2024.

  • Race 1 will be available August 30, 2024 - September 8, 2024
  • Race 2 will be available October 4, 2024 - October 13, 2024.
  • A makeup week will be available for Race 1 and Race 2 October 28, 2024 - November 3, 2024.

This is the annoying thing, it’s such a long wait for the races I’ve already lost interest in Zwift Academy and doing something else.

By that time they start with Race two I’ll be riding outside with the warmer weather.

I wish they would bring race two starting times forward.

Race 2 should be running from today all the way through to October 13 to give people enough time to participate in that.

Race one should also have a bigger time frame.

Also, if these races are supposed to be a test, then shouldn’t they be more reflective of what a Zwift Academy contender might do in real life, like a 150km race with 3000m elevation?

I’m thinking of the races I commonly see being done by one of the previous Zwift Academy finalists.

I already missed Race1 due to illnesses.
All workouts are done and super tight timeframes for the races and the makeup week.
Zwift, please extend the timeframes and start them now :pray:.

Yeah, I blinked and I missed Race 1!

The window is way too small.

Maybe that is part of the testing process, not just how much power you make but your ability to put everything else aside and do the race event whenever it is on?

Is it true that you can only finish the Zwift Academy 2024 if you were able to attend a race 1 during this one week in the beginning of September? I only started with it a week ago. Is there any chance Zwift will set up another race 1?

I’m sure there is at least one “catch up week” for ZA races, I just don’t have details to hand.

You must do all of the workouts and both races to complete it.
