Zwift 2027 Wishlist

Instant. I’m aware fluctuations in power are normal, but not this bad. Enabling power smoothing in the trainer just makes it straight up lie, it will report target power +/- 1 Watt regardless of what is really happening.

Rumors say it’s going to be an aero bucket hat

My number one wish for 2027 remains the same as it has been for years: A Family / Duo / Household subscription plan.

We are heading into late 2026, the Zwift ecosystem is more mature than ever, and yet this basic feature is still completely ignored. With the recent push of the Zwift Ride smart frame—which is actively marketed as the ideal setup for multi-rider households because it takes seconds to adjust between partners or family members—it feels almost paradoxical that the software side doesn’t reflect this reality at all. Expecting a single household with two cyclists to pay nearly €40 / $40 every month just to share the same stationary trainer in the living room is simply unreasonable.

What makes it even harder to swallow is the fact that ROUVY (now part of the same corporate family under Zwift) has had a brilliant Duo and Group subscription model working seamlessly for a long time. They proved that offering multi-user household options doesn’t break the system; in fact, it drives adoption, loyalty, and gets more partners and kids into indoor cycling.

The official forum request for a family plan has thousands of upvotes and active discussions dating back nearly a decade.

Zwift, please look at how households actually use smart trainers in 2026. A dedicated Duo/Family tier would bring so many lapsed partners back onto the platform and stop forcing households to make compromises.

Bet, they just look at it bcos its there, or have u ever heard of racers, who stopped following an attack, cos their wbal said, they have no energy left?

These need to be carefully thought out to prevent exploits. If not possible, then some more route additions.

We need the other climbs near Alpe d’huez from real life in Watopia to link with the existing ADZ. That will enable new pretzel routes and very elevation-intensive routes that aren’t just loops of the same thing.

The new Alpe running route needs a 5km warmup lead in section through the jungle.

Or the riding route needs an alternative to cut out the 10 minutes of the jungle - when you are running late and don’t have much time, that lead-in is annoying and is enough to prevent riding at all on the day.

New flair for a 52 week streak, even if it is the same squirrel as the 25 week one but with a different color hat.

I wish you could use the companion app to adjust your holoreplay ghost rider’s time up or down–even completely turn it off. Sometimes on a climb I want to take it easy; being able to dial the PR down would be nice.

Sad that my wishlist is now majority bugfix reminders than ideas at this point.

I want the old maps polished and expanded, including Bologna with more roads for free roaming, but especially Innsbruck and Richmond deserve expansions.

I want some freaking bug fixes that have been around for ages.
I want to know if a leader DMs me in game; I don’t stare at companion app on my rides.
I want steering disabled in drone camera.
And I want to be able to take a stinkin screenshot of the race results screen.

I could probably add a few others, but these are my main picks, and still none of these have been taken care of that’ll be ranging from 3-12+ years old now.

My number one wish would be:

One Workout library to rule them all.

One library that you can target/aproach from anywhere within the zwift-ecosystem.

And it would be nice if there where some more (user-defined) keyboard shortcuts.
For now you need to do a lot of mouse/trackpad work to get what you are after.

People also want the UCI worlds retired as well. Not me, I want Innsbruck expanded, but I’m in the minority as for that. Imagine if it had Höttinger Höll climb, then the road out past the airport (very flat and fast), then Reith bei Seefeld climb, etc, like what Haute Route Dolomites 2017 did on stage 1 that loops back to Innsbruck. As a further expansion later the Kühtai climb (quite beautiful) and Timmelsjoch.

If further is needed the Jaufenpass and expand all the way to a virtual version of Sterzing.

As an alternative to those hilly routes the Brenner Autobahn with its bridges (eek) could be the faster alternative route. That will cater for folk who want as many climbs as you like as long as they are flat.

I agree, I think Innsbruck definitely needs an expansion. Same goes for Scotland; so much potential in that world. I would also love a longer climb in Makuri, whether it’s AdZ-length or a little shorter like the Epic. Feel like it’s the one thing that world is lacking (although I do love to climb so I could be in the minority here lol).

Innsbruckring reverse

Would also like a private/incognito mode for riding so I don’t have to disconnect my internet to achieve the same thing

Disconnecting internet stops companion app from working and makes manual navigation harder. Private events don’t let you navigate away from the preset route. Meetups have the same problem.

Create a club and then events?

What you are asking for essentially goes against the ethos of Zwift so I wouldn’t expect any movement on that.

I think what some others want is incognito so that followers are not instantly notified every time you start…we can call it working from home mode.

Like a good many of us, being here since early Beta - the progress seems to have ground to a halt.

I struggle to justify the monthly fees for basically not a lot of progress. I could use the subs to buy a new ATV and swap to MyWhoosh, who seem to have captured many of the early Zwifters as long term users.

Loyalty to the brand keeps me here and I struggle to understand how Zwift remains to stationary in its development.

One simple thing that we need - is a stable 3.0w/kg bot on Tempus Fugit every week This needs to be a permanent feature Yes, rotate the other bots, but keep one of them at circa 3.0 all of the time

Ride on,

Dave.

Spot on, Dave! As someone who has been here for 11 years since the early beta days, I completely share your frustration with the slow pace of development and pricing.

Your idea for a permanent 3.0 W/kg bot on Tempus Fugit is a must. To add to that, we desperately need an extension of Tempus Fugit and brand-new, genuinely long flat routes with great design, beautiful scenery, and open views—not just dead-boring, grey rows of houses—to give us real alternatives after all these years.

Ride on!

I will be very surprised if a stable/steady bot ever returns -would be nice though and I suspect it would be very popular, especially when everyone wants their fast/easy 500km at the end of the year.

People ride too fast uphill and drop the steady pace bot, then the bot drops them downhill while they try and recover. Then the bots get elevated pace for the uphills and people still drop them.

What makes this crazy is how regularly it’s requested and how it literally still doesn’t exist, despite having the worlds for it.

New York / Manhattan Island… flat // NY Expansion made literally as not flat as humanly possible.
Innsbruck valley… flat.
London Thames and Hyde Park… flat
Richmond’s James River area… flat
Bologna (well the northern region) … extremely flat.

Meanwhile someone at Zwift is probably saying “but the new routes are built near sea level!”
But we all know it still has to climb up to Jungle, and to get to / through it you have to climb somewhere through jungle.

Really would hope one of the new routes we get is an extension of Big Flat 8.
Based on the Paris expansion though I fear the worst with the route designs; and that’s because of this ongoing concept ever since Jarvis released about false laps.. see cirque du suffer, deca dash, toefield tornado… the list goes on.

Col de Sarenne up the back of the Alpe to make a loop!

London expansion, Richmond expansion to connect some of the Blue Ridge Parkway, maybe even Bologna expansion?!

Zwift still needs far more small hills, equivalent to Strava cat 4 and 3, 263-1025 feet averaging at least 3%.

Big enough to take 5mins+ at 4W/Kg, especially relevant while 5mins is important for pen seeding.

But they don’t take half the day to climb, if you’re limited to nearer 1W/Kg.

Off the top of my head, I’m struggling to think of any substantial Zwift climbs that stay in the 3-4% gradient ballpark.
