The last 2 weeks I get this message on screen after losing connection “you are not currently on smart trainer” My setup is with Zwift play controllers and virtual shifting which only works via Bluetooth smart trainer connection ..Using Tacx Neo 2
updated Tacx firmware 2.7.0, lets see if that helps
This might be due to a Bluetooth disconnection. What are you running the game on?
in order to use Virtual Shifting via controllers u MOST be running game via Bluetooth, not Ant+
still lost connection twice post Firmware update in 90 min.
You’ve told us what the trainer is, but said nothing about the other end of the connection - the device you are running the game on. Please post all the details.
Windows 11 PC Predator Gaming .. .. just disconnected//reconnected Tacx in Bluetooth settings. same with zwift controllers . Will see if it helps
Nvidia graphics card
The other thing you could try with that PC is disable the onboard Bluetooth adapter and use a TP-Link UB500 or other RealTek RTL8761B dongle and see if it works better. It doesn’t always help but it’s not unusual to get better results with a dongle than whatever the onboard adapter is. You can effectively replace the existing one by unpairing everything from it (eg, keyboard, mouse, headphones) then go to the Device Manager, right-click on the adapter, choose Disable, then install the dongle.
Thanks for the info.. Might just buy one if the reset didnt work..
TP-Link UB500 ordered
You’re hopefully not pairing in the windows Bluetooth settings, but in the Zwift app Bluetooth menu ?
BòóX
both are paired, shouldnt that be?
just ran this fix .. 1 hour into 100k ride when power left me
actually in windows settings it shows now not connected post troubleshoot. will restart zwift
when zwift is running, windows setting shows connected …………
Unpair and remove in the Windows Bluetooth settings, powercycle your devices, then launch the Zwift app and only pair in the app.

Please explain powercycle
Turn off the power, turn it on again.
