I have read through previous posts. After performing all what has been said I’m still unable to connect to my trainer. I’m absolutely lost at this point.
A write a little bit more background, My trainer is wahoo kicker my avatar is not moving when I pedal. I’ve deleted all other apps that potentially could connect to my kickr. I have deleted and reinstall Zwift. The red light is on my kicker is on and the blue light is solid when I am connected to Zwift. i’m completely lost at this point. Does anybody have any other suggestions and how I can connect and utilize the app properly.
Are you connecting directly in the Zwift app, or in the phone’s Bluetooth settings? If the latter, delete the connection to the trainer and pair directly in the Zwift app.
Does power/watts register and the avatar will not move or no watts at all?
Connected via BT? Do you have an Ant+ dongle installed also? If so, remove. If BT, do you use a modern dongle or motherboard BT? Get a UB500 dongle and disable the motherboard. If you use an Apple TV…never mind.
Unplug the kickr and wait a couple of minutes. If you have a light on the power brick, wait until it goes out completely. Probably would not hurt to disconnect at the trainer also.
Not sure about the red light. I do not recall one on my V6…green or blue I think.
Do you register watts in the Wahoo app? If not, might need to work with them.
The app will connect via BT or Ant…but you have to have Ant on your device. Not many phones use Ant+ anymore, if any. The image shows BT connection. iOS phone? Hard close the Zwift app. run the Wahoo app and see if you get watts registering if you peddle. If so, hard close the app and try Zwift. Per @Nigel_Tufnel comments, disconnect in the phone’s BT…only use Zwift to connect.
If you get Watts in Wahoo app but not on Zwift…you have a connection issue somewhere. If no Watts in the Wahoo app…sounds like a question for Wahoo.
Note…if you have an iPhone, and you updated since the last re-install…delete and re-install. Something about BT permissions. I use PC so do not have these issues.
Typically, when you connect to a device, you can click on it and it’ll allow you to forget it. The kicker doesn’t show up on my Bluetooth device list until it’s connected to Zwift.
When it’s connected to my phone, it won’t allow me to forget it.
Maybe I need a new phone! I am using an Apple Air which has worked with the trainer in the past.
That is a new phone isn’t it?
Sorry, this is way outside my experience. I use my phone for Companion App but never for Zwift. I am traveling so I cannot even test that scenario. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
I don’t think you’ve answered if you see watts/power when connected to the wahoo app? Alternatively, are you seeing any power at all on the Zwift pairing screen before entering the main home screen and choosing a ride?
But first, make sure you are force closing the apps that arent in use, not just swiping into the background. Force closing is a different process.
Step one - force close everything or just restart the phone.
Step two - open wahoo app and see if it registers power, check for a firmware update if available. If you see watts move to step 3. If you don’t, contact wahoo support.
Step 3 - force close wahoo, open Zwift. Connect as per usual, do you see watts on the pairing screen? If yes, try starting a ride.

I thought I did. The trainer is pairing perfectly. What I’m not seeing is any data in the simulator when peddling.***

i’ve not only closed all of my apps, but also when a step further in deleting all potential apps that could be syncing with the trainer. The Wahoo app’s Bluetooth is shut off.

I did check the firmware and it is up-to-date. I have contacted Wahoo support. I have yet to hear from them.I will check to see if it registers the Watts or any information. Good call on this thank you!
