We had tons of riders visible, not on the rider list, who maybe were from the A and C and D events. The rider ahead of me in the list would be 5 seconds ahead, and there would be 15 other riders visible in between. This only started when we reached the point in the lead-in where you join the lap course.
To illustrate, see my mini map during the 8am CST A stage today, on February 3.
Those red dots on the map were indeed visible - first time I saw those, and they seemed to correspond to the “absent” riders. Some of the riders were in non-TdZ kit as you show, many were in event kit. Sometimes they all vanished, to be quickly replaced by a new wave arriving from behind.
My theory is that riders in the other groups - A, C, D and E in my case since I was in B - were somehow visible. That would be consistent with the C-cat riders getting UPG notifications: it’s as if the event was set up as a race with standard categories and all cats visible to all riders, rather than separate events. We had multi-lap courses in other stages, and this never happened.

Actually, just to emphasize one more issue to the Zwift crew: I saw some riders who did not seem to be in the TdZ ride at all. I’m not sure if Robert’s original post or someone else mentioned this, but I know I saw at least one guy in non-TdZ kit with a workout screen active. If you zoom in to my minimap, you’ll see a few small blue dots, for example. (i.e. not the usual size blue dot that represents a C rider, I mean little blue pinpoints.)
