Why did TDZ 2026 end a day early?

In app the bonus week stated the event ended Feb 23rd. Last year I remember it running until Feb 23rd.

I assumed I’d have some time in the evening to get my final ride in, not 1AM my local time.

The information in the official forum post (Tour de Zwift [January 2025]) on this is inconsistent, but the part about make-up week seems to correspond with how it seems to have been set up:

I see, sadly specific times aren’t listed in the mobile/desktop app only general dates.

I’m disappointed I won’t be able to100% this years TDZ

It looks like an unfortunate editing error on Zwift’s part. My guess is the post was a copy of the 2024 post and edited with this years information but things were missed. I’m basing this on the last sentence of the above linked post referencing 2024.

Considering its 2026 not 2025

Well I blame the person who necro’d last year’s post.

Anyway, this year’s post has similarly inconsistent info:

I just found out I’m in the exact same situation. I was just about to start my last ride as I had been following along in the app with the dates, and I’d planned out every ride when I realized I could do it.

It’s very disappointing to work so hard to complete 18/18 courses only to find out there was inconsistent information across the official channels.

Boo. I was going to knock out my last one today, only to find out it’s already ended.

Feb 23 5am UTC is 10pm Feb 22 in my time zone MST, which OP says 1am their time. I will assume they are close to EST. To me this looks like a case of not verifying time zones.

My time zone is AST (UTC -4)

Unfortunately I don’t frequent the forums or the Zwift website, and the app only specifies the date without a time.

All the main stages finished at 16:00 UTC. But Make-up week finished at 05:00 UTC. You can hardly blame users for getting caught out if Zwift didn’t make this extremely clear in all their communication (which they certainly did not).
