My drive side crank arm is completely threaded as pedal was incorrectly screwed on.
I have tried everywhere to see where I can source a replacement crank arm part as repair seems difficult from various sources.
Do Zwift have resource to source replacement parts, or is there a an external resource where I can source?
You need to contact Zwift support. It’s a proprietary crankarm.
Repair would involve installing a helicoil insert and many bike shops are able to do that.
Another possible approach is to run a pedal tap through from the back side of the crank arm and then install the pedal with strong loctite, but if the threads are completely creamed that may not be an option.
Pedals also vary in the amount of threading they have, so sometimes it’s possible to reach good threads in the crankarm by sourcing a different pedal.
How do you actually talk to anyone at Zwift? I have a broken left crank arm. The threads are stripped, and I need to replace it.
For warranty claims, email orders@zwift.com
If you want to return it, try the self-service process:
Stripped pedal threads are also something that can be repaired at a bike shop with a Helicoil insert or by tapping it out, depending on how damaged it is. I would try Zwift support first though.
How does one get in touch with Zwift support? I just get a chat bot that does not answer my questions.
support@zwift.com for general support questions if you can’t beat the bot
I got no response after 24 hours from support@zwift.com. It seems pointless. I took the crank arm to a bike shop, and they fixed it. It seems odd that Zwift does not provide parts for sell on their website. Surely, people will have various problems and will need to replace broken parts. I am really disillusioned by Zwift customer service.
Follow-up: After waiting for a Support response, I got the crank arm re-threaded and pedals attached by a local bike shop. The next day, I finally get a response from Support that they are sending a new bike. That is great, but I no longer needed it. Even if I did need help, sending a left crank arm only would have been enough. I told them to not send the replacement bike. Regardless, it arrived today. Now I need to haul the giant box to UPS to send it back. This could have all been avoided if I could have spoken to a real person on the phone or at least on the chat. It was very kind to send a replacement, but it was not needed.
