Where are the trees? [February 2025] [1.84]

Nevermind. Had it again today.

Seems like you should undo the “solved” flag on this thread

Was till an issue for me on Windows 11 on the 5th March after applying the latest minor patch. Cycling the graphics resolution solves the issue. It was triggered this time for me when switching worlds.

I used to get lush scenery and detail in Watopia, but my last few rides have been missing trees and other details. My setup hasn’t changed, and my download speed is over 400mbps.

Before and after pictures from same location…
I searched for help, but didn’t find any info, so I presume it’s not an issue for others.

This was the post for the original issue, it was resolved, but some are still seeing it apparently. Are you on the latest version?

If you kill the app then restart you should be gtg.

Thanks for the vector to the pertinent thread on this. As so many others have the issue, I won’t tear into my setup. BTW, I should have included running latest versions of Win 11, Zwift, Nvidia GTX1650 on i5 G11 machine.

Hey all - While our update from March 5th seems to have resolved this issue for many people, it’s apparent that others are still experiencing missing trees/foliage. We’re continuing to investigate and will post more once we have an update.

Today I noticed in the London countryside parts of houses missing and one other rider (on a tron bike) seemed to be sunken in the road just before box hill iirc

The first corner of Box Hill pavement is soft and sucks in wheels regardless of the bike. Been that way for years.

I am still missing trees at the exit area of titans grove where it intersects with the road to either go left to the desert or right towards the epic KOM.

Try this…
Launch Zwift, click the “Change User” option to log yourself out.
Login again and do a short ride of a few minutes.
End ride, save.
Close Zwift game.
Launch again. And, one more time, choose change user to logout / login again.
At this point, the updated settings from the Zwift backend should be applied to your system.
Ride around and you should see all of the missing layers of trees, flowers, shrubs, etc.

Thank you all for the continued reports and your patience as we work through getting the trees back up for some of you.

We have a change in place that we’re currently testing internally. This won’t be a server side change, so we’ll require a build to get it out. I’ll provide an update once we know exactly what build we’ll have this change in.

Hi all, we’ve introduced some changes that should make the trees/foliage loading behave as they did prior to version 1.84 - this means it should essentially be fixed for all of you.

These changes will be in version 1.86 which is planned to start releasing tomorrow. Once you’re on version 1.86.0, please let us know if you continue to have similar issues.
