What is the formula for imposed rest during training?

Sunday I did my long ride to close out week 3 of Gran Fondo. I was shocked when it let me do the first ride of week 4 on Monday morning but I did it. Then I was equally confused when I logged in this morning (Tuesday) to find that all rides were locked out for another 12 hours.

So 1) how is required rest calculated?

  1. that needs a manual override - we’re going to be travelling the latter half of this week and the early part of next week and I want to get all my rides in.
