It’s your achievement level in the game. The same number is displayed in-game inside a small grey oval below your speed in at the bottom left of the top center info bar in the game.
The more hours in the saddle, the higher the level you achieve. This is also how you can unlock new jerseys, wheel and frame upgrades as well.
