Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 + Zwift Cog - Noise troubleshooting

Hi all,

I got the Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 + Zwift Cog a few weeks ago but I noticed that it is quite loud. From comparable videos that I can see, its not that loud for most other people but I cannot find the issue. If anyone could point me into the right direction, that would be appreciated. I posted on reddit about this, there you can also see the video with sound:

see reddit/r/Zwift/comments/1ocfj1b/zwift_cog_sounds/

I checked the derailer as it looks “bent” in the video but it appears that that specific one is bent by default (SRAM Eagle AXS Transmission)

From what I can see, the cog itself is not running 100% clean but its so slight that I am not sure of it could cause this.

Any ideas appreciated, thanks!

Cheers

Looking at your video on Reddit, first suggestion is try changing your rear derailleur to a higher gear (closer to the bike). As you mentioned the rear arm looks “bent” and even if that is correct for the “assembled” bike, it may be causing issues with the Cog or it may actually be bent  Other option is a “loose” chain, which will create noise as the links move to engage the gear teeth, so check for wear if you have the tool or try removing a link if you know how.

Cheers
