Wahoo Kickr core 2 issue

Hi everyone,

Wahoo recently replaced my original Wahoo KICKR CORE with a KICKR CORE 2, which I am using with my Zwift Ride.

But it now feels substantially heavier. I use to have an FTP of 297 and normally joining Group Rides in Category C and my race score is around 390. I am trainig 2 or 3 times a week and have Scotty earned with 30+ streak.

But now I am riding like a newby and not able to follow the 1th group.

I did update all firmware and the spindown. Sends results of the ERG test to Wahoo but without any succes.

The support of Wahoo is very disapointing and slow. Really frustrating.

Anyone else the same issue? And perjaps a solution (or should I just send back this crap?)

Thanks!

I still have issues.

There are many reports of lower power with the Core 2 which are not related to any changes in Zwift. People also do not generally report the fact that the original Core often ended up reading too high, because they just think oh I am getting stronger, great. So maybe your new trainer is faulty, maybe the old one was inaccurate, maybe a bit of both added together. Dual recording a single activity with two power meters would give you something more like proof that you could use in your support interactions.

I wouldn’t post this if it was only a small difference.

I’m not saying it’s a small difference. Which trainer is more accurate?

I don’t really have a direct kickr comparison. But I’ve mostly done spin classes for 10 years or so mixed with 45 mins to an hour constantly pushing on a watt bike in the gym. My average watt output spinning was around 200-220. Watt bike a bit lower. And now on Zwift my average watt output is around 120-130, and feel like I achieve less for the same efforts.
