Hello, I’m new to Zwift. I just bought the Van Rysel D100 home trainer with “Zwift Cog and Click”.
When I’m actually pedaling at 100 BPM, the display in the top left corner only shows 60 BPM. Also, the cyclist’s cadence is slow compared to other cyclists and my actual cadence on my bike. Is there something wrong with my bike? Thanks, have a good day.
BPM is heart rate - Beats Per Minute. Cadence is RPM - Revolutions Per Minute. Are you sure you are looking at the right values? Also, are your HUD settings for instant or average values?
Cadence errors can be down to the quality of the trainer (looks like you’re using the trainer to measure cadence), wifi/network/BT connection quality, or rider expectations being well off reality. If you don’t trust the trainer for that, try an external cadence sensor.
The problem is the D100 trainer. It does not send cadence data, so Zwift makes up the numbers. A separate cadence sensor is required when using that trainer.
This is in the Zwift documentation: “The Van Rysel D100 with Zwift Cog and Click does not have a cadence sensor. While it can connect to CADENCE in Zwift, it does not transmit cadence data.”
