Virtual shifting preferences change after each update

I’ve noted my virtual shifting preferences, will always change after a system, Patch or Zwift update. At usual takes about three days before my old preferences are reestablished and start working again.

After every Zwift update, I always go to the hud and reapply my shifting preferences, but it never takes until after a few days.

I’m on a Zwift Ride

Hi @Steve_Bullard

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. I see in your server logs that you’re logging in to the main Zwift app from both an iPhone and a PC. These settings are stored per device, not per account. In other words they do not live in the cloud and sync to your local machine(s) as other things in Zwift do (like custom workout files).

For this and other reasons, we strongly recommend you only run the main Zwift app on one computer, and uninstall it from other devices. Logging in from more than one device at the same time creates all sorts of easily avoidable issues.

Yup, after this new update, same thing, virtual shifting is still effed up,

did as instructed— and removed Zwift App from my phone and my tablet. now only on the computer.— Still after each update or patch, shifting changes for a couple days…

Would like to clarify with you - when you say “virtual shifting preferences” what do you mean?

  1. Do the options in the game’s Setting menu like Shift Style / Gear Range / Drop button choices change without your input?

If this - would you screenshot your choices and share them?

2 Do you mean “I finished my last ride on virtual gear 15 and it starts up in virtual gear 8 every time my avatar spawns?” If this - that’s expected. We can go into more detail if this is what’s bugging you.

  1. Something else?

Also - I spotted in your server logs that your Zwift Ride controllers are still on the firmware version 1.0.0. Please update to the latest version 1.2.0 using the Zwift Companion app. Instructions are here.
