Just attempted Ven-10 run.
At 4.2 miles, the avatar turned around.
Talk about frustrating…
I had the CA open on the control panel of the treadmill. Sweat must have landed on the U-Turn button.
I guess I’m n+1 for those affected by that.

Funny you mention that.

I was doing my usual double Alpe du Zwift ride today and had an unexpected U-turn on second lap.

I had my kickr-bike shifting freeze up, so I turned it off and on again to reset that. The U-turn happened after I started pedalling again. Luckily I was able to quickly intervene and saved the second lap, though that seems to have uncovered another glitch which I won’t mention.

I would like to see a confirmation window for the U-turn with ok or cancel buttons or some kind of multi step selection before the u-turn happens, eliminating any possibility of it happening by accident. In my case it just happened without me doing anything.

No sweat on the phone display either, it’s so cold inside I wasn’t sweating much.

I saw no “U-Turn” icon on the screen like you normally see when doing a U-Turn while riding.
I don’t know if Zwift Running has that on screen icon or not.
The avatar just did a U-Turn.
I was going for the Ven-10 Run route badge. I did a manual U-Turn to return to the route, but the route progress was lost, of course.
Next time I won’t have the CA open anywhere near the treadmill.

Ouch! I think I must have kept my lap progress because I intervened really fast (before my avatar got half way across the road).

Kickr bike shifting freezes I do get every now and then, I’ll be super cautious next time it occurs, though not sure how I’d prevent it.

Edit: I found my issue seems to be a dodgy right Kickr Bike shifter. Something is going crazy with it and the button at the top is activating, causing a U-turn. I did a short ride this morning and I had very slow/unreliable shifts occurring. I had to turn the bike off and on again a few times before it worked better.

It doesn’t seem possible in the Wahoo App to rollback to older firmware these days either, than function seems to be removed. Otherwise I would have tried to rollback then upgrade again.
