Not sure if anyone here can help, but just got one of the Van Rysel RCR smart trainers, and it’s acting pretty dumb.
Zeift doesn’t see it, and every time we try connecting to BlueTooth on four different devices it refuses the connection. There is also a bright white LED light on the bottom that illuminates when it is plugged in.
The instructions say nothing about any of this, and it is allegedly a plug and play device. This is far, far from my experience. Have a note out to support, but thought someone here might have some insight. Thanks.
Have you updated the trainers firmware?
From the website:
Wireless software updates:Yes, with Onelap Fit (free app)
I did indeed. And the weird part is that OneLapFit connects and it works perfectly in both ERG and SIM mode. I just have to figure it’s some kind of software glitch that I am hoping support can resolve, because having a smart trainer that doesn’t need to be plugged in is a game changer for me.
Could the OneLap app still be connected to the trainer? Kill that app, force close it, or Zwift won’t be able to connect to it.

Already tried that. OneLap was what we tried after the RCR kept rejecting the connection from other devices. Connected immediately and smoothly to OneLap, so will stick there until I hear from support.
Chalk this one up to user error. I was going about it the wrong way, trying to connect to BlueTooth BEFORE connecting to Zwift. It was refusing the connection as a security feature, like I was some hacker trying to hijack my trainer. Once you download and fire up Zwift, it connects immediately and perfectly.
This is different from my Wahoo experience, which confused me. My Kickr would just connect whatever I was doing. Anyhow, problem solved.
