I like to be able to use Zwift Click v2 but only for using power ups or steering and I don’t want having it connected to affect the resistance on the trainer so I can completely rely on my physical gears to surge or keep my rhythm. Is there any gear that I have to keep it on (as the basis)? Is there any setting I can check to not see the gears on the screen even after having them connected?
Also it would be so nice if we could use them with other platforms as well for steering Zwift has its own competitive advantage which goes beyond the hardware.
I’m not 100% sure you will see it there, but there is a Virtual Shifting setting that exists, though there have been situations where it’s not visible. I don’t use the Click V2 so I can’t verify that. If you find it in settings, turn it off. Have a look and let me know if it’s present or not.
You could also try pairing the trainer via ANT+ if you have a PC or Mac to run the game and an ANT+ dongle, since virtual shifting is not supported when the trainer is paired via ANT+.
Hi Artin, yes you can use the Click V2 for navigation only with a non Zwift cog compatible trainer. You will see a pop-up message to say your trainer is not compatible, which you can dismiss.
