I’m using companion app since 2024 and it still bothers me that to update my weight I need to open Zwift on my laptop and change it in-game because the app has still this bug that lets you to type a valid value like 70.35 but while saving it, everything after decimal place is being erased, so that it changes the weight to 70 kg. For me updating the weight from the app is the fastest and most convenient way to do it but currently it’s impossible. Are you guys aware of this issue or have it in your backlog?
Works for me on iOS as well. I know the app has had some difficulties in locales that use a comma instead of a period for the decimal place but I don’t know if that’s a factor here.
Weight can also be set on your profile on the website. Go to https://my.zwift.com/ and select My Profile, and then Settings.
I have to enter it on the website too but for a different reason. I have my height set as 184cm on the CA, but if I then change my account to imperial (I ride in miles) it rounds it down twice. First to 6ft 0in and then to 182cm when converting back to metric in ZP. This happens even if it’s only my weight I’m updating. If I set it on the website it stays at 184cm.
Yes, I run in on iOS and indeed my keyboard layout used comma as decimal sign, so perhaps that’s why it doesn’t work. Nevertheless it should work regardless of keyboard layout. It’s obviously validation on Zwift side, which doesn’t handle this case properly.
The question is if the bugfix for the zwift app also fixes the issue in the companion app, because it’s where I encountered the problem. If so then it was a really quick fix. Kudos to the staff.
Edit. Ok, it seems like it didn’t change the behavior in the companion app.
