I led a ride on the Makuri Two Village Loop on Thursday, after the latest update. Several riders did not follow the prescribed route, instead either not turning at some of the intersections or taking extra loops around either or both of the villages. Could you please look into this? Thanks
I lead one the other day without issue; and personally haven’t seen off-track riders for a WHILE now, maybe this entire year even?
Guaranteed they were Apple TV users; seems to be most prevalent on that system since folks rarely update since they never actually properly close Zwift.
If you see it again, ask what system they’re on; and it’s almost a guarantee they’ll say AppleTV… at which point, tell them to reboot the system and update Zwift.
Did they late join? If so, that could be the bug they ran into. I don’t know the current status of that bug, but here it is…
What’s it got to do with not updating?
Apple TV doesn’t force an update like PC, it is a manual process (I think), or you can turn off auto-updates on Apple TV… something like that
That’s a really old route. Hard to imagine that lack of updates would be a factor here.
Yeah but even on old routes I always saw those issues on Makuri the most; otherwise it was indeed new routes in Watopia at times (and always getting spit into Titans Grove instead of around it which was funny).
Hard to say; but at least from my experience, 9/10 times it was an ATV user that got split off, and usually not long after an update released.
When I did lead it though I will say I know I had one user who had to rejoin and I know didn’t experience it; but I also know he’s a PC user.
Either way, I’m just going off of former experiences; none of it “should” matter, but it just might.
Yeah but as Paul said, and I was getting at, why does lack of an update have anything to do with people going the wrong way at an intersection?
yeah not sure if that is really the cause, or if those Apple TV users aren’t force closing after use which is proabably more likely
