The Companion app shows both my devices connected and ready. The Wahoo app on my phone shows my Kickr Core connected. All my devices are on the same WIFI network. Bluetooth light flashes as usual.
When I launch the app on my MacBook, my Kickr Core doesn’t show up and I get the popup “Try waking up your devices”. Since I pair with bluetooth, I try pairing with my iPhone (running OS v26.1). Same issue.
I un/plugged my Kickr Core. Same issue.
The only thing I can think of is that I updated my MacBook to the most recent version of the Apple OS (macOS Tahoe 26.1). And under “Privacy & Security”, I can see that the Zwift app is allowed to use Bluetooth.
These are valuable clues since v26.1 is still a very fresh release from Apple. What happens when Apple releases an OS update is they’ll reset an app’s security permissions to the default (tighter) settings. This will strip Bluetooth and Devices Nearby permissions and the OS won’t tell you that it does that.
The simplest way to allow these necessary permissions is to uninstall / reinstall Zwift and Zwift Companion. Here’s how for the main app.
Then say yes to all the permissions they ask for. would you try that and let us know if clears things up?
FWIW -
I updated to MacOS 26.1 recently as well, and had to do a reinstall to get the CA to see the Zwift session.
It has not resolved the slow BT connection, though.
The slow BT connection issues started even before I updated to MacOS 26.0.
