Same here, I used the companion app on my iPad to stop and save the ride.
All data was preserved.
Just after I completed the long version at the top of the Alpe I got the finished banner and then the screen on my iPad went crazy. Companion on my phone kept going so I carried on down, or TBH went for a shower while the bike carried on. When I got back it was still going and I couldn’t see how to end the ride so I switched the iPad off after a while.
On Zwiftpower my result was there but it said I had climbed Innsbruck KOM.
When I reported the bug I was told my internet failed. Yesterday I signed up for today’s ride and got an email in which Zwift have admitted it is a bug and I have to wait till it’s fixed. It is the second time I reported a problem at the top of the Alpe, the first was about 10 days ago.
I have been credited with the ride, I happy to say.
I’m on iOS and ATV and was aware of the bug before I started Stage 2, so I didn’t go around the loop at the top and saved my ride. It shows as completed in my activities but I didn’t get the completion badge. Is that part of the bug and it’ll be automatically fixed?
Crashed on ATV but watched my avatar go down hill on the companion app on iPhone. Force quit, then restarted and was given the option to resume ride. Placed at bottom of hill, so exited and saved. All miles credited on Strava.
On Zwift, I see two activities that appear to be the correct route and are identical except for different numbers of ride-ons!
Just googled how to stop ride using companion app (press square for a few seconds) and will do that if there is ever a “next time.”
Zwift crashed after 5km in cat A this morning 10am (CET), so I had to restart the app and event. Quite frustrating. Stage is on my feed, but not credited for Tour du Zwift? 
Not sure if it is related with the bug also…
This isn’t related. Are you saying you had to do a late join and didn’t get credit for the stage?
If so, please contact support and they will credit the stage for you.

This bug occurred on my Uber Pretzel Ride yesterday as well, please credit me.
I got to about 25.4km in Cat A stage 2 TDZ and mine froze. I then got thrown out of zwift altogether on my windows laptop. My companion app stopped too at same time. I now can’t open zwift at all. I think I’ll need to uninstall and reinstall it. There was an update before I started which makes me suspicious that this is the problem. Very frustrating!
My TdZ Stage 2 (“A” Long - Tour of Fire and Ice) ride from this morning is showing up on my results and activities tab as being the B (standard) ride on the UCI Innsbruck course which I actually did on Friday. Any idea where my TdZ ride from today is??? It’s on Companion App. / Zwift Web / Strava / Garmin but incorrectly reported on Zwift Power!
Where did you report the bug? I rode Tour of Fire & Ice this morning but Zwift Power says I rode UCI Innsbruck - even though Zwift Web / Companion App. / Strava and Garmin all have it recorded correctly!
Zwiftpower doesn’t handle events with 3 different routes instead of race categories very well, this is a limitation of the system.

My club all saved and quit as soon as we crossed the barrier and none of us got hit by the bug. As tempting as it is to use the descent for your cooldown, it’s safer to quit as soon as you’ve finished the race.
That’s the surest way. My second go I left it too late and carried on down to the bottom. Managed to end the ride using the Companion app, then it recorded ok but it’s still Epic KOM on Zwiftpower…

Until now, no result from my Yesteday TdZ stage 2 ride at 3:00PM (RouteA) is shown on Zwift app (as finished) and not in Zwift Power ?
Do you know, when the problem will be fixed ?

So I made a post in here last night that has been flagged and now deleted. In it I mentioned that I had no crashing issues on this stage on my PC, which is true. Hands up, it wasn’t exactly constructive and apologies if it wound anyone up. Loads of people aren’t up to speed with this forum and may not know that this particular crashing issue was raised in July. I can totally understand how annoying it would be to get to the top of the Alpe and have your game crash before the descent. It should have been fixed ages ago.
But I do hope this sorry episode puts an end to the notions that Apple TV (or indeed any other platform) is ‘flawless’, that the game is ‘more stable on Apple’, or that ‘Zwift on a PC is terrible’ and other similarly daft sweeping statements. ‘It just works’ isn’t necessarily true for anyone, and it’s nothing to be proud of. It’s meant to just work, that’s what we pay for. Almost all of the time it does.

Will the “automatically” addressed affected riders, I am one, also address the fact the ride is not recognised in ZwiftPower?

I hope they can fix this before the new climb mission starts…I mean what a bunch of crap for this to happen and not be repaired before a climb mission. This is the kind of stuff that Zwift has continually failed to fix over and over again. I love Zwift but sometimes this side of the game is very frustrating. Among the other issues that users have been annoyed with for well some things years…
