Tour de Zwift 2020 Running FAQ

I noticed the 16km distance on the Zwift website but it says 5.4km in the companion app. I would love to see the stages being 16km but I doubt that’s the case. The 16km must be including the lead-in to the classique route. Where would this event start?

I think that’s for the cycling portion, the run portion is using the classique course. However, there seems to be conflicting info on the actual distance.

You are correct, I was thinking cycling. I will delete my posts above. Thanks for the correction.

Ok now that I am looking at running I found this.

So the lap distance is 5.4km and the lead-in is 10.6km so that is a 16.1km run.

@shooj could you provide some clarification on the distance for stage 1? Zwift companion is showing 5.7km but the screen shot provided above shows a 10+km lead-in. Is the stage 5.7km or over 16km?

@DKE_Watson
Stage 12 is 5.7 km including the lead in.

So let met get this correct the Runners don’t start from the Pens? Is this correct?

I am in the US and can only see the 16KM run (Ride?) for Sunday. Can’t see any of the Rides.

Seeing the same or not seeing. Only way I was able to signup for events was through a third party website. Unable to see any TDZ events in companion app.

https://zwift.com/tdzrun page doesn’t seem to work.
It loads initially, then goes to a blank page.
I’d like to see when the stage 2 events are, so I can sign up.

Can the U.S. get some better options for morning runs for the Tour de Zwift? Currently we can only run at midnight or 2AM. I run in the morning around 4:30 or 5AM and would rather do that than the Turn up Tuesdays and stuff.

The next morning option for us is 9AM when most people are at work and then evening which doesn’t work for me.

The times should be moving around by an hour or two each day. The same times for all four days seems like a scheduling error given previous stage events have changing times.

Tuesday thru Saturday the morning times for the U.S. are 12AM, 2AM, and 9AM. The next time is noon. For Sunday it’s 1:30AM, 2AM, and 9AM. Then there are a few afternoon slots.

Again, I want to do these races but these times don’t work. I don’t understand why it can’t be available like the various Nike challenges…

You should be able to go to the Events tab, then select the bike icon or the runner icon to find the Cycling or Running events.

Looking at our server logs, I noticed that both of you were using the previous version of Zwift Companion on the day you posted your respective questions. Now that you’re both on v.3.10.0, are you able to find the Cycling / Running events for Stage 1?

You would have thought that. I did figure since there are no “E” races and my filter was for only “E” races (don’t remember setting that) I can’t see them. Guess system works as designed, but not how I had expected. Thanks for the reply! Ride on Brah

Doesn’t appear to be pulling in the dates to allow for one to sign up for stage 2.

Stage 2 events signups will be pushed live soon.

For sake of planning, I try to plan my training at least a week in advance. Not knowing the schedule until a day or two before can be a challenge.

Continuing the discussion from Tour de Zwift 2020 Running FAQ:

I am done with stage 2 and 3 but I missed stage 1. Is there a make up stage 1 run?

From this Tour de Zwift 2020 Running FAQ
What if I miss a stage?
Makeup stages will be available from Feb 9th to Feb 16th, after Stage 7 completes. During that one week, we’ll host events to cover all 7 stages. Event slots are limited, so make sure you plan to finish the missing stage accordingly.”
